TFT LCD Technology

Light Guide Plate
According to the requirements,changing the traveling direction of side view LED as surface light source.
Light-increasing Film
Changing all traveling directions of polarization light as vertical direction,when eyes and light guide plate will be vertical,light will be increased.
Diffusion Film
The diffuse particles of film will promote irregular refraction of light,and increase uniformity of surface light sources.
Reflective Film
Main materials of reflective film is PET,after coating or printing with white reflective layer or silver reflective layer,the light will be reflected to required directions.
Sunlight Readable Technology
Most of Fannal TFT display products will be used as outdoor applications,and show good sunlight readable capacity.
Normal reinforcement,one layer glass or shielding will be bonded in the front of LCD screen,so there are three reflected surfaces between glass and LCD:air-glass,glass-air and air-polaroid.

Without any special treatments,the reflectivity of each reflective surface will be 4.5% for external light,three surfaces will be 13.5% totally,then total reflected light will be 1350 lumens.

When the useful light from the screen,the backlight is 1000 lumens,less than the reflected light 1350 lumens,reflected light reduce the contrast ratio,so the sunlight readability is not good.

Optical bonding reinforcement,bonding the layer of glass or shielding with polaroid of LCD screen front,the refractive index of the optical adhesive is almost same as glass,it is 1.5,contrasting with normal reinforcement,it eliminates two reflecting surfaces.At the same time,the AR anti-reflection film which is plated on the outer surface of the shielding or protective glass as shown in image 2 could reduce the total external reflective light to only 0.4%.

The minimum external contrast of HMI screen should be greater than 3.After optical bonding,its external contrast is increased from 1.74 to 26,making the pictures more clearly visible.Not only to increase its readability under strong light,but also improve its readability in harsh environments.

Wide Viewing Angle Technology

O-Film TFT
There is rapidly increasing demand for wide viewing angle TFT display modules,at present,wide viewing angle TFT display modules include MVA(Multi-domain Vertical Alignment) and IPS(In-Plane Switching) and O-Film TFT,comparing with MVA and IPS TFT technology,O-Film TFT is the most cost-effective products,what’s more,MVA and IPS TFT is more popular for consumer products,such as tablet and smart phone,most of them are not good for industrial grade products.

Most of the TFT-LCD are used in industrial market.However, TN-LCD disadvantage is obvious grayscale reverse phenomenon,which means the display should be the higher the gray level the brighter in theory,from zero gray scale (black) to 255 gray scale (white).when the liquid crystal display is at a certain angle, it is possible to see the low gray level is brighter than the high gray level.This phenomenon is called grayscale reverse.
O Film TFT module can increase the viewing angle and improve the grayscale reverse.The image is a comparison of normal TFT and O Film TFT.Left is normal TFT module, when viewed over 6 o'clock direction-the optimal viewing angle,normal TFT will show the problem of grayscale reverse.However, when O Film TFT also exceeds the optimal viewing angle,the problem has been improved.Therefore, O Film TFT is one best choice for wide viewing angles in the industrial field.

MCU (MPU) interface
MCU (MPU) is a parallel transmission interface,usually is I80 or 8080.Data bit transmission has 8 bits, 9 bits, 16 bits and 18 bits.The connection is divided into: CS (chip select signal), RS (register selection), RD (read strobe signal), WR (write strobe signal), and then data lines DB0~DB17.
SPI interface
SPI is Serial Peripheral Interface.SPI interface is often referred to as a 4-wire serial bus, operating in master/slave mode, and the data transfer process is initiated by the host computer.Due to the transmission speed of the SPI interface, only small-size display or STN-type black and white screen can be used. Normally will send the initialization using the SPI interface when display is RGB interface.
TTL (RGB) interface
TTL interface belongs to the interface of parallel transmitting data.When using this interface,it is unnecessary to use any dedicated interface circuit on the driver board and display, TTL data signal will output by the driver board master chip directly and transmit to the input interface of the liquid crystal panel via the cable.Due to the high voltage of the TTL interface,multiple connections,and long transmission cables,therefore,this circuit has poor noise-resistance ability and easily produce electromagnetic interference.TTL interface always used to drive small size (less than 15 inch) or low resolution LCD panels.Its maximum pixel clock is only 28MHz.
LVDS interface
LVDS, is a low voltage differential signaling technology interface.It is a digital video signal transmission method developed to overcome the shortcomings of high power consumption and large EMI when transmitting broadband high bit rate data in TTL level mode.LVDS output interface utilizes very low voltage swing (approximately 350mV) to realize the data transmission on two PCB traces or a pair of balanced cables by differential,which is called, low voltage differential signal transmission.Adopt LVDS output interface,the signal can be transmitted at a rate of several hundred Mbit/s on a differential PCB line or a balanced cable,due to the low voltage and low current drive mode,therefore realize low noise and low power consumption.
